Auto Car | Beijing unveiling for the 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan | As well as the refreshed Phaeton, Volkswagen also unveiled a revised Tiguan at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show.

The 2011 Tiguan now falls in line with Volkswagen’s new family look thanks to the horizontal slat grille and signature headlamp design.

Other modifications include new bumpers and a more pedestrian-friendly bonnet. Apart from these the rest of the Tiguan’s exterior remains more or less the same.

The 2011 Tiguan is also likely to get new powertrain options to make it abide by more stringent European emission and fuel economy norms.

A spokesman for Volkswagen Middle East said the new look Tiguan would go on sale in the region in

Volkswagen today introduced the production version of the Volkswagen Tiguan at the 2007 LA Auto Show.  Powered by the 2.0 liter TFSI engine from the GTI, the Volkswagen Tiguan produces 200 horsepower
and 207 lb-ft. of torque.

The Volkswagen Tiguan will be available in a choice of either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission
options.

The long-awaited Volkswagen Tiguan will make its debut in the U.S. in the summer of 2008 and will carry a price tag of $22,490.
