Jaguar Advanced Lightweight Coupe Concept 2005

Auto Car | Jaguar Advanced Lightweight Coupe Concept 2005 | Design Director Ian Callum's vision for the next generation of Jaguars is clearly expressed in the Advanced Lightweight Coupe show car. Its exterior lines are beautiful yet powerful - a confident blend of curves highlighted by muscular detail, resulting in a car that could only be a Jaguar."I firmly believe that Jaguars should appear powerful as well as elegant," Callum says. "Look back at the great cars from our past and you will see that they were as muscular and taut as they were subtle and curvaceous. That's what confident Jaguar design is all about."

This belief stems from Callum's first sighting of the original Jaguar XJ6 saloon in the 1960s; an event that he describes as "the moment the penny dropped" when it came to his understanding of car design."As soon as I saw the XJ6 I realised what creating a beautiful car was all about," he says. "It was a perfect example of what designers call proportion and stance, which simply means how a car sits on the road. The XJ6 was so structured and confident it was like nothing else - its wheels appeared huge, almost out of proportion to its body, and they were visually right at each corner of the car. It really looked as if it was hunkered down on the road."

Those principles have remained with Callum ever since and played a pivotal role in the design of his previous Jaguar show cars, the R-Coupe and R-D6. Now the Advanced Lightweight Coupe continues that theme, but in an exhilarating sports car that has the visual agility to match its performance potential.Echoing the lessons learnt from the XJ6, the show car's distinctive stance and bold profile give it genuine visual dynamism - an effect that Callum describes as the car appearing to change shape in front of you.

The Advanced Lightweight Coupe's distinctive tapering shape at both the front and rear means there appears to be no overhang beyond the wheels, giving the car a very exciting presence and a real sense of power and potency. When that is combined with beautiful surfaces that run across the entire bodywork you have the key ingredients for a sports car that gives a concise and clear statement about the look of future Jaguar models. As Jaguar Cars Managing Director Bibiana Boerio explains:
"This car takes our coupe design onto another level. It is muscular without being over the top - a naturally honed athlete. Just like its predecessors, we believe the next generation of Jaguars should be different from anything else in the marketplace. We are not trying to copy our rivals because we have our own path to take. We know what that path is and we are showing the way."

EXTERIOR DESIGN
Creating a sports show car that conveys the remarkable heritage of Jaguar with integrity while projecting the marque forward into the future was not a simple challenge. Ian Callum and his design team passionately debated how the Advanced Lightweight Coupe would strike that balance before settling on this stunning design.
Every curve of the bodywork and rise and fall of each surface is deliberate, concise and calculated. There is no design for design's sake on the car, no extraneous sculpture or unnecessary surfacing; a point that Callum believes will separate future Jaguars from other cars.

Jaguar bonspeed X-Type 2005

Auto Car | Jaguar bonspeed X-Type 2005 | The exterior of the bonspeed® X-TYPE is 'red hot' thanks to a special ‘Match Head Red’ paint developed for the car by DuPont and applied by L&G Enterprises in San Dimas, Calif.
The dramatic, DTM touring car-inspired body package was designed at bonspeed’s Anaheim studios and features new front and rear fascias, extended side rockers and an integrated trunk spoiler. The body package gives the car a low, aggressive stance and enhances the car's already- striking lines.

The concept’s new interior is as radical as its exterior. New Recaro F1 race-style bucket seats were added to the front, while the complete cabin was re-trimmed in super-soft crimson leather supplied by luxury leather goods maker, Mulholland Brothers, in San Francisco. And, carbon fiber accents on the dash and gear surround are shared with the 2005 Jaguar X-TYPE 3.0 Sport.
For the car’s 1200-watt in-car entertainment system, bonspeed® fitted twin Sony liquid crystal TVs for front and rear passengers, along with a Sony head unit and DVD player. Sound is pumped out through Diamond Audio speakers and amplifiers, all linked together with Metra Electronics cabling.

"Our plan is to eventually offer all the features seen in the bonspeed® X-TYPE to X-TYPE owners. The Jaguar makes a perfect platform for a highly-expressive tuner vehicle for the enthusiast market," explains Fanshaw. The bonspeed X-TYPE will be on display at the 2004 trade-only Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association show (SEMA) at the Las Vegas Convention Center Nov 2-5.

From its beginning as a manufacturer of motorcycle sidecars in 1922, Jaguar Cars has grown to become one of the world’s premier manufacturers of luxury sedans and sports cars and with that, one of the most recognized commercial brands. Jaguar S-Type 2005

Auto Car | Jaguar S-Type 2005 | Put those claws away, Tiger – the redesigned 2003 Jaguar S-Type addresses many of the concerns and problems of previous models, and may now be one of the finest mid-range luxury vehicles in the jungle. Don’t let the buck-toothed grille fool you – this cat is ready to roll, and it purrs like none other. The Jaguar S-Type may not have the distinguished pedigree of the XJ or XK, but ever since its debut in 1999 as a 2000 model, the S-Type has made subtle improvements and refinements and is now poised near the top of its perch.

For 2003, Jaguar continues to improve the S-Type, most noticeably in the performance, safety and ergonomic departments. Jaguar (wisely) chose not to focus on any styling changes, so upon first glance the S-Type may seem relatively unchanged. We like the current body style – we think it lends to a sleek, sexy and crouched appearance that definitely stands out in the ever growing crowd of “me too” look-a-likes.We took delivery of a 2003 Jaguar S-Type 3.0L that was outfitted with Jaguar’s new 6-speed automatic transmission.

A 5-speed manual is available in the base package. Other engine choices include a 4.2L V8 and the recently announced 4.2L R-model, complete with a supercharger that helps produce 400 horsepower. For those with insecurity issues, the 4.2L may seem like the only logical choice, but in reality, the 3.0L V6 is more than adequate for daily driving duties.
The S-Type 3.0L derives its power from a 24-valve, DOHC, 3.0L Ford-built V6 that produces 235 horsepower and 216 lb-ft of torque.

Despite the rather low torque figure, the engine feels powerful and linear, thanks in part to the six-speed automatic and a relatively flat torque curve. Despite some very spirited driving, we averaged nearly 21 miles per gallon – we’d expect around 16 mpg with the V8 powered S-Type. With its zesty 3.0L, the S-Type was able to propel itself from 0 to 60 in 7.7 seconds, and the 1/4 mile came in 16.1 seconds with speeds in the high 80′s. Top speed is limited to 127 mph.

Throttle response is spot on, thanks to variable valve timing and a multi-staged intake manifold. While the torque was linear, horsepower definitely came on strong above 4,000 rpm, and the raspy growl that accompanied it made spirited driving fun.

Jaguar X-Type Sport 2005

Auto Car | Jaguar X-Type Sport 2005 | most of the world--or at least those members of its population who are interested in cars--knows that the new Jaguar X-type sedan shares much with the humble European Ford Mondeo, just as the Audi A4 has a lot in common with the lesser Volkswagen Passat. Because of this commonality, Jaguar personnel have stressed the X-type's "Jaguarness" and generally downplayed what is now called "components sharing."

Yet plenty of Jaguars in the past shared components, beginning with cars such as the SS1 and the SS100, which owed as much to the Standard Motor Company as to the Swallow Sidecar organization, as Jaguar was called early on in its life. Raiding someone else's parts bin is nothing new and didn't stop old Jaguars from looking and feeling different--particularly the latter. As for "Jaguar-ness," I'm not sure what that is, despite spending time with an awful lot of Jaguars all the way from the SS100 and the C-type up to the current offerings. (Don't ask me to define "Britishness," either--it can't be defined; it just is.)

What I can tell you, however, is that the new X-type is a really good car. It's also distinctly different from the Acura TL, the Audi A4, the BMW 3-series, the Lexus IS300, and the Mercedes-Benz C-class--its main competition in the near-luxury sport sedan segment.
There are four X-type models: the 2.5, the 2.5 Sport, the 3.0, and the 3.0 Sport. The transversely mounted 2.5- and 3.0-liter V-6 engines are derived from the Ford Duratec DOHC 24-valve unit and come with standard five-speed manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. (The automatic is a $1275 option on the 2.5, and the manual is a no-cost option on the 3.0.) The 3.0-liter engine makes 231 horsepower and 209 pound-feet of torque, and the smaller engine produces 194 horsepower and 180 pound-feet.

Jaguar opted for all-wheel drive rather than the Mondeo's front-wheel-drive layout, which most critics (if not buyers) would have regarded as heresy. The all-wheel-drive arrangement is pretty simple: A planetary center differential sends 40 percent of the torque to the front wheels and 60 percent to the rear via bevel gears. A viscous limited-slip coupling automatically adjusts the torque split in slippery conditions. The compact aluminum housing for these components bolts directly to the X-type's transaxle. In this class, only the Jaguar has standard all-wheel drive, although similar systems are optional on both the BMW and the Audi.

The front suspension uses lower control arms, an anti-roll bar, and MacPherson struts that incorporate Bilstein twin-tube dampers. A double bearing at the top of the strut helps reduce friction and torque tug on the steering. The multi-link rear suspension has Bilstein monotube dampers, short coil springs, and an anti-roll bar. A stability control system is available as part of a $1200 Weather package on the 2.5 and 3.0 models and is standard with the Sport package. Regular X-types are fitted with sixteen-inch wheels and 205/55 Continental tires, and the Sports--which also feature firmer dampers and springs, a lower ride height, and revised steering software--have seventeen-inch rims with 225/45 Z-rated Continental ContiSport Contact tires.
Inside, Sport models get more heavily bolstered seats, a sport steering wheel, and smoke-gray wood in place of the natural--that is, brown--variety. Among our party of journalists, the older, more conservative types preferred the natural wood, whereas the hip younger crowd went for the Sport finish. All X-types are fitted with a power driver's seat, leather, and a four-speaker Alpine stereo. (A ten-speaker premium system is optional.) A power passenger's seat is part of the $2500 Premium package, which has to be ordered if you want the $2000 Sport package.

All X-type cabins are warm and inviting, although the finish of the buttons and surfaces still isn't up to the levels of Audi or BMW. There is some nice detailing, however, such as chrome-rimmed gauges, bright-metal buttons for the center stowage area, and a chrome reverse detente on the manual gearshift lever, which also has a stylish leather-trimmed ball top. Although there isn't an enormous amount of rear-seat leg and head room, it definitely betters that of the 3-series and the IS300, and front-seat accommodations are pretty generous for this class. The trunk is also the largest of any Jaguar, at a voluminous 16.0 cubic feet. Front and side air bags and front and rear side curtain air bags are standard on all models. The optional DVD-based navigation system has a big, seven-inch screen that also takes care of the audio system, HVAC controls, and telephone. Hard buttons, touch-screen controls, or Jaguar's optional voice activation can be used for all of these functions. The launch of the X-type coincides with the introduction of JaguarNet, the company's rival to GM's OnStar system.

Arden Jaguar XK AJ 20 Coupe 2007

Auto Car | Arden Jaguar XK AJ 20 Coupe 2007 | Arden has dedicated itself for over 30 years to the tuning of British cars and is one of the leading addresses for customers looking to emphasise the typical features and customise their Jaguars and Range Rovers. Arden has already devised an extensive range of modifications for the latest XK model from Jaguar. As the Arden Jaguar XK AJ 20 Coupe, this big cat stands out with a displacement-increased engine and offers pure, unadulterated Jaguar enjoyment plus that distinguishing Arden touch.

Jaguar fits the XK as standard with a powerful 4.2 l V8 with 298 bhp / 219 kW and 411 Nm. Arden rebuilds this eight-cylinder engine from scratch and sharpens the claws of this big cat by increasing its displacement. The displacement increase to 4.5 l is achieved by fitting a crankshaft specially produced for Arden, along with new con rods and pistons. Arden optimises the lubrication and the cooling and, in doing so, guarantees a long service life of the components, as it also does through its more than 20 years of experience in the field of Jaguar engine tuning. In conjunction with the modified intake and exhaust systems and sports catalytic converters, the fully recalibrated EMS produces an emphatic but harmonious power boost, whilst retaining the original exhaust gas classification.

For drivers, these modifications primarily translate as a vast increase in driving pleasure. The now 4.5 l displacement generates almost 100 extra brake horse power, with the total of 392 bhp (288 kW) and a torque of 475 Nm at 3,800 rpm bringing a smile of satisfaction to the driver’s face. Sprinting in just 5.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h means that it is just under a second faster than the production version. And the top speed of 285 km/h is pretty impressive, too.Drivers’ eyes light up even brighter when they see the Arden’s compressor version, which puts the Krefeld tuning specialist one step ahead of the British manufacturer, since Jaguar doesn’t currently offer a supercharged engine. Arden elicits an impressive 480 bhp / 353 kW and an awesome torque of 640 Nm at 3,850 rpm from its supercharged 4.5 l V8 engine. The supercharged XK accelerates 0.5 seconds faster to 100 km/h than its Arden naturally aspirated counterpart, and as much as a clear 1.4 seconds faster than the production version. A top speed of 295 km/h makes the XK AJ 20 Coupe the fastest Jaguar currently on the road.

In neutral, the Jaguar XK purrs as softly as a kitten. But watch out when it stretches out its claws! The Arden XK AJ 20 Coupe expresses its additional power in the form of a deep growl, produced by a sports silencer system with the option of either two or four chrome-plated tailpipes. Upon request, the system can be extended at any time up to a performance-enhancing complete system that includes catalytic converters.

With the XK AJ 20 Coupe, Arden contrasts the more delicate appearance of the production version with a muscular look. At the front, the coupe is given an impressive “face” by fitting the Arden front spoiler featuring large air inlets. New side sills, also incorporating air inlets, continue the front design and make the car look lower to the road. Arden swaps the side vents in favour of its own, colour-contrasting versions. Cooling openings in the right and left-hand side of the bonnet (also colour-contrasting like the side vents) create a more sporty appearance. The rear end constitutes the logical conclusion defined by the front design.

Like the front section, the rear apron also features cooling openings. To effectively reduce the lift and to make the XK more sure-footed, Arden equips its XK AJ 20 Coupe with a rear spoiler, which blends perfectly into the basic design. A must for every Jaguar enthusiast is the patented Arden bonnet ornament, whose base has been specially angled for the new XK. It is characterised by its attention for detail and both its visual and technically perfect craftsmanship. Its anti-theft system prevents it from being stolen and it is TÜV approved. Consequently, in the event of a collision, it gives way and, in the case of a more severe impact, it even comes away completely, thus minimising the risk of injury.

Jaguar C-XF Concept 2007

Auto Car | Jaguar C-XF Concept 2007 | Set into the front of the C-XF is a bold and aggressive grille finished in black chrome. Recessed deeply into the body rather than sitting flush with the surface, the visual effect is similar to that of an air intake on a jet engine and serves as a reminder that directly behind is a sophisticated and powerful 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine.

The headlamps which evolve the twin-lamp motif seen on previous Jaguars into a single slim wedge, are narrow and angular. They bring an air of aggression to the C-XF's profile, while between the lamps a blue streak of light reveals an almost cat-like iris when illuminated. Subtly etched below the lenses is a unique 'tattoo' design showing an abstract Jaguar leaper logo - a tattoo that is repeated in the treadplates of the door sills and in the tread of the bespoke Pirelli tires that surround the 21-inch machined, polished aluminum wheels.

Running backwards from the nose of the C-XF is the main feature line of the car - an unbroken shoulder that flows beneath the cabin glassline and into the haunch over the rear wheel. It is this feature, a modern interpretation of renowned Jaguar sports saloons from history, that endows C-XF with its latent power. A similarly simple line can also be seen on the new XK range and is one of the design cues that will carry forward onto the next generation of Jaguars.

Jaguar XJR Portfolio 2007

Auto Car | Jaguar XJR Portfolio 2007 | The XJR Portfolio's dramatic styling is a direct evolution of the highly acclaimed 2004 Concept Eight show car. It uses a classically simple mesh grille, flanked by four headlights above a deep front air intake to produce that unmistakeable Jaguar front end. And from the side the sculpted aluminium power vents in its front wings immediately set it apart from any other XJR.'When we came to design the Portfolio edition we decided to allow the XJR to express itself,' explains Jaguar Cars design director Ian Callum.

'So we used aluminium and chrome to make parts of the car stand out like jewellery. You won't be able to miss those bold 20-inch alloy wheels or the purposeful side power vents. And inside the cabin the blend of modern materials such as aluminium with classic Jaguar leathers and veneers means we can create a luxurious but contemporary interior.Indeed, the XJR Portfolio's contemporary, sporting character can be defined by its 20-inch ‘Callisto' alloy wheels - with the same highly-polished five-spoke design as the Concept Eight but promising better everyday durability and ride comfort for the production car.

Like the show car's wheels they have slim, elegantly curved spokes, and also feature the classic Jaguar script centre badge style - combining heritage with a modern twist. The XJR Portfolio will be available in bold Midnight black paint while its seats are upholstered in Ivory leather. The upper facia is finished in warm charcoal and is matched with an aluminium veneer and door trims.
Both front and rear seats have variable heating and the driver's seat includes lumbar and cushion length power adjust with full memory function. To add to that unique performance feel, the XJR Portfolio also sports an aluminium J-gate gearlever surround and chrome and leather gearknob.In-car entertainment is provided by the 12-speaker Jaguar Alpine Premium sound system - including 320 watt amplifier, subwoofers and CD changer. Bluetooth® connectivity for in-car mobile phone usage is also standard.

Jaguar XK 2007

Auto Car | Jaguar XK 2007 | "Oh, that I have lived to own this car," gushed one of CNET's more effusive readers in response to our first take of the 2007 Jaguar XK Coupe. It is difficult not to share this enthusiasm. Originally envisioned as a convertible, the redesigned, all-aluminum 2007 XK is heartbreakingly gorgeous. Flared rear haunches, a short snout, and an arcing hood that goes on forever combine to give the XK a character of brawny elegance. Under the hood, an all-aluminum 300-horspeower naturally aspirated V-8 engine enables the Big Cat to purr along in the fast lane, while Jaguar's eCATS electronic suspension gives it impeccable road manners on the twistiest of roads.

Inside, the 2007 XK combines classic comfort with updated cabin tech, with burled walnut and soft-grain leather surrounding an as-standard touch-screen navigation system. Other tech highlights include Bluetooth hands-free calling, which failed to work in our test model, and a screen-based rear parking meter. The XK's standard audio system fails to live up to the car's high-end refinements--or its price tag. Our tester came with the leather-and-wood Luxury Package ($3,300) and the Advanced Technology Package ($2,500), comprising adaptive cruise control and adaptive front headlights. With a base price of $74,835 and a $665 handling fee, our 2007 XK purred off the lot for $81,300.

The 2007 Jaguar XK is a two-seat sports car in four-seater clothing. The only passengers who will be able to fit in the back will have to be in baby seats, and even that will be a squeeze if the driver or front passenger is more than six feet tall. Headroom is equally limited in the front, and if it were not for the XK's 16-way power-adjustable seats, we would have spent our week with the car nursing a cricked neck. The reason for the lack of space is that the XK is a low (52 inches), and relatively lightweight (3,671 lbs.) car; the EPA even classifies it as a "subcompact" for fuel economy purposes.

When finally installed in the cozy cockpit of the XK, things get a little more comfortable. Interior trim is in keeping with Jaguar's luxury reputation: burled walnut veneer, the aforementioned power seats, and a wood-and-leather-trimmed shifter came as part of our car's $3,300 Luxury Package. Amid the classical interior details are plenty of cabin tech features to differentiate the 2007 XK from its predecessors. The most conspicuous of these is a red Start push-button set into the wood-trimmed center console, which allows drivers to fire up the XK without removing the key fob from their pockets.
The XK's navigation system has been overhauled and updated since we evaluated it in the 2006 Jaguar XKR, and we found its high-resolution maps (in full or split screen) and turn-by-turn voice guidance accurate and quick to help us out when we missed our highway exit--one of the perils of driving permanently in the left-hand lane.
Destinations can be programmed by all of the usual means (address/point of interest/coordinates) as well as by a neat feature in the touch screen that enables navigators to use directional arrows to scroll through an overhead map of the immediate area. While the LCD navigation screen is slightly bigger and brighter than that in the '06 XKR, we still have a few issues with its visibility; it is sunk a few inches into the dash, which makes it unnecessarily difficult to see from an angle.

Jaguar XKR GT3 2007

Auto Car | Jaguar XKR GT3 2007 | Jaguar's new XKR Coupé has been revealed at the Autosport International Show at the NEC, Birmingham, and in a new guise. Buckingham-based Apex Motorsport, under the direction of Richard Lloyd, has developed the stunning XKR model for use in the FIA GT3 European Championship. It is being revealed in the 'flesh' for the first time to the world's motorsport media at what is recognised to be globally one of the biggest and most successful motorsport shows.

Lloyd and Apex have enjoyed huge racing success in the past, most recently with Bentley with whom they won the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans. "It was obvious to us that the Jaguar name was missing from the list of GT3 contenders," said Lloyd. "We believe the new XKR has great potential for success, and Team Manager Dave Ward and the guys have been working flat out since receiving our first car at the end of September. We've still got a mountain to climb with roll out and first test scheduled to take place within the next five weeks and, of course, the first race of the season at Silverstone in May. The first car is sold and we have received very positive interest for another two so we're confident there will be plenty of Jaguars in the FIA paddock and in other emerging GT3 series around the world."

While Apex has Jaguar's blessing to compete with the XKR GT3, this is not a factory motorsport programme and the Apex race activities are independent of Jaguar. At the time of the programme's announcement in September, Stuart Dyble, Jaguar Board Director and Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Premier Automotive Group and Ford of Europe, said, "We welcome this initiative which will result in production Jaguar sports cars being seen once again on race circuits across Europe. We have just launched the all new Jaguar XKR road car, and GT3 is the natural race series in which to compete."

The Jaguar XKR GT3, featuring a 4.2 litre V8 supercharged engine, retains the aluminium body of its production cousin, but has had modifications made in line with the regulations. Draft technical specifications are attached but the definitive specification will be revealed following the official FIA track tests, the first of which takes place at Monza on February 22/23.
The first car to be built by Apex Motorsport has already been sold to Stuart Scott, Managing Director of East Anglia's most successful travel management company, Cambridge Business Travel. Scott, who has most recently been racing in the British GT Cup, will be driving the Jaguar in a programme of six events with a yet-to-be-named co-driver. He said of his involvement, "I feel privileged to be here at the beginning of this project. In my racing past I have always tried to do something that's a 'first' or a bit different, and to take delivery of the first XKR race car is a dream come true. I've been aware of Richard and Apex for a long time and to now be part of such a professional team is wonderful."

The FIA GT3 European Championship is already a very marketable racing series for teams and manufacturers, using sexy coupés that are closer to their road-car origins and therefore less expensive to build and to run. The series captured the imaginations and interest of competitors and fans alike in its inaugural 2006 season with some 40 entries, and looks set to be strengthened further with the addition of Jaguars to the starting line up. Each manufacturer is represented by up to six entries ensuring a fair distribution of honours, and the performance between the different marques is balanced by the use of success penalties. Entry is aimed at gentlemen and non professional drivers graded by the FIA via a combination of racing experience and age.

Arden Jaguar XKR AJ 20 Coupe 2008

Auto Car | Arden Jaguar XKR AJ 20 Coupe 2008 | Arden has dedicated itself for over 30 years to the tuning of British cars and is one of the leading addresses for customers looking to emphasise the typical features and customise their Jaguars and Range Rovers. Arden has already devised an extensive range of modifications for the latest XKR model from Jaguar. As the Arden XKR AJ 20 Coupe, this big cat stands out with a displacement-increased engine and offers pure, unadulterated Jaguar enjoyment plus that distinguishing Arden touch.

Compressor power
Arden rebuilds the 4.2 l V8 completely new and sharpens the claws of this big cat by increasing its displacement. For drivers, these modifications translate into a vast increase in driving pleasure primarily due to the result of the compressor.

Arden releases through the supercharged 4.5 l an impressive 480 hp / 353 kW and a mighty torque of 640 Nm at 3,850 rpm. This guarantees a confident acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,1 seconds! A top speed of 305 km/h (reached on the test track in Papenburg, Germany) makes the Arden AJ 20 the fastest Jaguar currently on the road.
In neutral, the Arden AJ 20 purrs as softly as a kitten. But watch out when it stretches out its claws! The Arden AJ 20 Coupe expresses its additional power in the form of a deep growl, produced by a sports silencer system with the four chrome-plated tailpipes. Upon request, the system can be extended at any time up to a performance-enhancing complete system that includes catalytic converters.

Enhanced appearance and reduced aerodynamic drag
With the AJ 20 Coupe, Arden contrasts the more delicate appearance of the production version with a muscular look. At the front, the coupe is given an impressive "face" by fitting the Arden front spoiler featuring large air inlets. New side sills, also incorporating air inlets, continue the front design and create the appearance of the car being lower to the road. Arden swaps the side vents in favour of its own, colour-contrasting versions. The rear end constitutes the logical conclusion defined by the front design. Like the front section, the rear apron also features cooling openings. To effectively reduce the lift and to make it more sure-footed, Arden equips its AJ 20 with a rear spoiler, which blends perfectly into the basic design.

At the same time, Arden proves that attractive form and function need not be opposites, then the perfectly fitting, sporty, elegant aerodynamic kit provides not only a more enhanced appearance, but distinctly reduces the Cd value. During comprehensive wind tunnel testing, Arden succeeded the good Cd value of 0,385 pushed to an even better 0,357. A stunt not every vehicle modifier can accomplish!
