Auto Car | Saleen Sport Truck S331 2006 | the premier manufacturer of limited edition, high-performance vehicles, today marked a new paradigm in sport truck performance with its debut of the pre-production Supercharged Saleen Sport Truck S331, at the LA Auto Show.Steve Saleen, president and CEO of Saleen, said, "We set out to produce the perfect high performance truck. The Saleen Sport Truck integrates higher horsepower, superior suspension, and aggressive styling with the best in functionality. Our sport trucks are the perfect answers for individuals whose lifestyles take them from the beach to the mountains to the country club, all in a day. They are also the perfect sport trucks for individuals who are passionate about what they drive - they're for individuals who require sports-car-like handling and performance, yet whose lives require the utility of a pick-up truck. These Saleen Sport Trucks are exceptionally versatile high performance vehicles."

On Target
"Trucks account for half of all new vehicle sales in America. Our certified dealers and countless consumers have been requesting us to manufacture a high-performance Saleen truck. By introducing both the 3-Valve and the Supercharged Saleen Sport Trucks we believe that we are right on target with the market. The big difference is that the new Saleen Sport Trucks will give consumers the extreme performance, expressive styling, exceptional value, and the exclusivity that comes from the experience of driving and owning a Saleen - all in a fully-functional truck," Steve Saleen continued.

Both Saleen Sport Truck models will start in the Super Cab style and will feature a 5.4L, 3-valve SOHC V-8 engine, and are scheduled to be available at certified Saleen dealers in July as 2007 models.Haulin' Attitude
The Saleen Supercharged Sport Truck packs a punch at 450 bhp @ 5200 RPM, and with 500 lb-ft of torque @ 4000 RPM which is due in part to the unique, patented, high-flow Saleen Series VI integrated twin-screw supercharger. Here, air is compressed through the twin screws and then runs through the dual-stage, water-to-air intercooler, which reduces the intake air temperature. With this cool, dense air, the Saleen Powerflash™ performance calibration system radically increases the power and performance. In recognizing the trend of consumers wanting more choices, the Saleen Sport Truck will be offered as a normally aspirated, 3-Valve Sport Truck, which offers 325 bhp @ 5000 RPM, and with 400 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM.Sounds Like Thunder
Every thought has gone into taking the Saleen Sport Trucks' performance to the extreme. Both the 3-Valve and Supercharged trucks are equipped with a unique integrated Saleen exhaust system with twin side pipes, which produce a unique appearance that enhances power, performance, and sound. Because of the increased horsepower and distinguishable Saleen sound, the engineers at Saleen have affectionately named the truck, "Thunder."

Saleen Racecraft Suspension
Designed to raise handling to new levels, Saleen Sport Trucks are equipped with Saleen Racecraft suspension. The front systems include N2 struts with linear-rate coil-over springs, a tubular anti-roll stabilizing bar and urethane pivot bushings throughout. Because it's all about performance, calibrations are specifically set to a high-performance level. The rear Saleen Racecraft suspension consists of a live axle, leaf springs and N2 shocks. The overall Saleen suspension system reduces load transfer which improves handling under braking and hard cornering. The truck's overall styling is complete with front and rear Saleen seven spoke, 23" forged wheels, on high-performance BFG 305/40 series tires. For responsive braking the Saleen Sport Truck comes equipped with power assisted 4-wheel ABS brakes. The front brakes have 15.0" slotted and vented disks with Saleen ABS 6-piston calipers, while the rear brakes are 13.7".In total, the Saleen Racecraft suspension elevates performance without sacrificing the quality of the truck's ride, its load, or towing capacity.

Saleen S281 Speedster 2006

Auto Car | Saleen S281 Speedster 2006 | For those who still love the wind through their hair, the latest Saleen offering is the 2006 Saleen Speedster, which offers a beautifully designed tonneau for ease of use in addition to the sport bar. Painted in matching Saleen colors, the sport bar and the tonneau offers a complimentary design to the already aggressive Saleen styling. The S281 Speedster will be available by November 2005. Ford and several third party companies offered many modified versions of the highly popular Mustang in order to cater to specific portions of the marketplace outside of the mainstream.

High performance enthusiasts seek more powerful, sharper handling, sports cars, while collectors and purists seek limited production and alternate or nostalgic styling, such as is commonly found on many commemmorative editions. Still, others were made purely for experimental concepts such as the McLauren M81 (turbo) and SVO, which later influenced production model design. Most variants include both performance upgrades, and unique cosmetic treatments that are typically minimal to maintain the familiar appearance of a stock Mustang. Although most of these Mustang variants were aimed at enthusiasts, a notable exception was the Special Service Package (or SSP), which was designed specifically for law enforcement.

Automobile racer Carroll Shelby transformed a conventional Mustang into a serious track racer designated as the "GT-350". rear drum brakes. Additionally, shortened hoods and deleted rear seats with identifying trim were among the visual variations. These select Mustangs were converted to street, road racing, and drag cars in Shelby's plant at Los Angeles International Airport.

The 2006 GT-H was built as a 40th anniversary Hertz rental model as a tribute to the GT350-H in 1966. The GT-H was an exclusive Shelby styled GT that was also used as a concept for the planned Shelby GT's, released in the summer of 2007. After the success of the 2006 Shelby GT-H coupe, a 2007 GT-H convertible was released, 500 were produced.

2002-2004 Saleen S7

Auto Car | 2002-2004 Saleen S7 | Have you ever seen a Saleen S7? The closest most people ever get to Americas mid-engine supercar is either at an auto show or on the small screen in the Gillette Mach 3 Turbo ad - thats a mens razor not a car.

The all-American Ferrari-killer is a project in literal motion, a car constantly being revised in the micro-automakers pursuit to be the best, and resultantly win sales from a very small target niche.

The simplest way to get attention, and one that is often used in this game of ultimate power broking, is to up engine performance. Swedens supercar-maker Koenigsegg has recently done just that with its updated CCR, while other sports car marques continue to increase the ante in the horsepower poker play.

In this game the higher the numbers, the more respect you get. Therefore, for the 2004 model year the mid-engined S7 has been boosted to 575 horsepower. The S7s motor, an 7.0-liter V8, is loosely based on Fords NASCAR V8 block, but Saleen has thoroughly re-worked the powerplant. The block, heads, and crankshaft are Saleens own creations, and cast from aluminum and forged steel. There are however fundamentals that have not been changed. For one, the V8 is still a 2-valve per cylinder unit with pushrods - unconventionally old school in the modern day supercar scene.

Its 575 horsepower output is up from the previous version at 550, while torque has increased to 568 lb-ft at 4700 rpm, up 44 lb-ft. Power is fed through a straight-cut 6-speed manual gearbox. While it pales in comparison to the 806-hp Koenigsegg CCR, the S7 still has the title of worlds most powerful naturally-aspirated production V8 motor.

All the power is forced through a longitudinally mounted 6-speed all synchromesh transaxle with a final drive ratio of 3.22. A limited slip differential keeps the rear wheels in check under full acceleration, while a metallic 5.5-inch diameter, 4-plate, hydraulically actuated clutch is the interface between man and machine.

So what difference does the extra power make for the S7? Well, it will certainly be hard to tell, but its very impressive zero to 60 mph sprint takes just 2.9 seconds, and 100 mph arrives in a mere 6.5 seconds. Top speed is estimated at 200 mph, or so.

That speed is allowable due to advanced wind tunnel developed aerodynamics, such as integrated split-channel air flow throughout car, full underside aerodynamics, advanced design front tray and side skirts, plus an integrated full body wing.

The factory figures make the S7 the worlds quickest car, beating out the McLaren F1, Ferrari Enzo and Pagani Zonda by a healthy margin, but it will have to be made official and tested by a trusted third party before such a claim can be confirmed.

Regardless of its claim to worlds fastest, the Saleen S7 is still incredibly quick. Thats all the more reason to fix it with an equally impressive suspension system. Underpinning the supercar are unequal length, double wishbones, light-weight aluminum dampers with coilover springs and an anti-roll bar up front, and unequal length, double wishbones, light-weight aluminum dampers, with coilover springs in the rear. While precision chassis components are essential to dynamic handling, the S7s rigid structure sets the stage for ultimate road-holding. Its space frame and lightweight steel construction features honeycomb composite panels for added stiffness. Aiding handling further are Saleens own forged alloy wheels, 19 by 9.5 inches in the front and 20 by 13 inches in the back, shod with 275/30-19 front and 355/25-20 rear Pirelli P-Zero Rossa high-performance tires. Center locking wheel nuts with automatic safety locks complete the race-ready package.

The S7 stops via lightweight aluminum, six-piston caliper brakes, engineered by Saleen and built by Brembo. The front ventilated discs are 15 inches in diameter and the rears 14 inches.

Safety considerations are even more important at 200 mph, therefore Saleen has equipped the S7 with aluminum honeycomb impact absorbing panels, carbon fiber rocker panels and doors, an aluminum honeycomb front crush structure, integrated rear crumple zones, a center position fuel tank with passenger-side filler, and 3-point seat belts with automatic seat belt pretensioners. A theft-deterrent security system and electronic immobilizer system is also included.

The hedonist in us all will be well taken care of too, due to Connolly hides on the performance sport seats and trim (the drivers seat is custom fit too), aluminum and body-color interior accents, a leather-wrapped, quick-release, tilt and telescopic steering wheel and shift knob, a rearview video camera with interior LCD display, and high-volume flow-through ventilation with air conditioning. Of course the requisite power windows, power door locks, power-operated door mirrors, remote trunk, hatch and fuel-filler door releases are included, plus variable intermittent windshield wipers, a heated windshield and AM/FM remote audio system with a 6-disc CD changer. A nice touch is a custom set of fitted luggage, necessary if planning a weekend getaway as the front and rear trunks only offer up 2.65 and 2.82 cubic feet respectively, for a total of 5.47 cubic feet.

The price? A mere $430,000 (E363,000) if you must ask. Interested parties can pick from dealers in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and Washington state. Saleen has a distributorship in Dorval, Quebec, Canada and one in Puebla, Pue, Mexico too.

2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang

Auto Car | 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang | Saleen is teaming up with race car legend Parnelli Jones for a 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones limited edition Grabber Orange Mustang. Parnelli Jones was a very accomplished american race car driver who won the 1963 Indy 500 along with several other races in many types of vehicles including sports cars, Indycars, sprint cars, midget cars, off-road vehicles, and stock cars.

Steve Saleen, President & CEO of Saleen, said, "Parnelli Jones is an American racing icon. In the fifties, sixties, and seventies Parnelli won just about every race that he appeared in, including the Indy 500. 1970 was the year that the SCCA Trans Am Series boasted the most competitive field ever, and Parnelli Jones and his Boss 302 Mustang competed against the likes of Mark Donahue and Dan Gurney, and there he captured the championship. Our relationship began in 1987 when Parnelli raced for me on the Saleen team, and helped us win our first SCCA Manufacturer's Championship at Sebring, Florida. I can't think of any other individual that brings with him the unique connection between championship winning Mustangs and Saleen."

Parnelli Jones commented, "It's a true honor to have a special edition Saleen wearing my name. This impressive car takes me back in time -- it makes me want to take it for a run around the track. I'm sure that this car will be an adrenaline-pumping experience for anyone who has the chance to own or drive one. I think that this car is going to evoke nostalgia not only for Steve Saleen and myself, but for everyone that lays their eyes on it."

In 1970, spectators wore bell bottom pants and mood rings and watched Parnelli in his Grabber Orange Boss 302 Mustang with black striped hood, cross the finish line to take numerous checkered flags and overall championship.

Today's Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang reflects the same authentic vintage attitude but comes complete with a new Saleen 302 cid V-8, 3-valve engine. This engine produces a whopping 370 SAE hp at 6000 RPM, and with 370 ft-lb of torque at 4000 RPM. The high compression engine transforms a normal drive into an exciting thrill ride. Awakening the senses, the new Saleen engine is equipped with a high compression, high revving valve train, utilizing forged pistons, rods, and crankshaft and a lightweight, aluminum flywheel. Top-performance calibrations are thanks to Saleen's PowerFlash(TM) technology.

Also included in this Limited Edition are new Saleen 302 valve covers. Completing the authenticity and providing additional high performance capabilities is the new exhaust system that provides a low-resonating sound that is a legacy of Saleen.

"We designed this commemorative vehicle to capture the raw, aggressive feel that Parnelli raced with, and created a racing revolution," continued Steve Saleen.

The new Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition comes in one color, Grabber Orange. Period correct details include a black striped "shaker" hood, race-style hood pins, black trunk deck, and 302 side stripes.

Completing the overall effect, the new Limited Edition comes with Saleen performance styling including front fascia with racing-style air dam, side skirts, rear fascia, rear 1970 replica wing, trunk insert license plate panel with chrome trim, rear window quarter panels, and a racing-style billet gas cap. Demonstrating further the authenticity of this retro-beauty, Parnelli's racing number, 15, removable and reusable static cling race decals, and the Ford blue oval are displayed -- just like the one that appeared on Parnelli's 1970 Boss 302 Mustang.

Signature decals of both Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones show above the door roof rails, and an all-new Saleen Parnelli Jones logo appears throughout the exterior and interior. Borrowed from the seventies are the restyled rear window louvered sport slats, which is an essential part of the overall styling.

Keeping with both Steve Saleen's and Parnelli's race ancestry, the Limited Edition is designed utilizing Saleen's own precision suspension. However this all new, yet classic Watts-Link suspension is derived from racing and performance applications, and offers the purest in race-type handling. The superior springs, shocks and swaybars provide even greater performance capabilities enabling the tires to remain firmly on the road even in extreme cornering.

Rounding off the Limited Edition are the Minilite-style 19" x 9" front and 19" x 10" rear racing wheels which prominently display the Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition center cap, which reflects the cool racing heritage from which they were bred. The car is outfitted with high-performance Pirelli 275 x 40 x 19 front, and 285 x 40 x 19 rear tires, and offers race-car-like stopping with Saleen 14" brakes.

Strap yourself inside the Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition and you're back in time! A time when driving meant extreme passion for the car, the race -- and all about the win! Experience the beautifully coordinated orange and black racing-style seats which envelop the driver and the passenger. Grip the steering wheel, grab the special Limited Edition gear shift knob, view the integrated twin gauge pod that reflects oil pressure and temperature, and vintage instrumentation panel with its black background and white characters, and you're there! Turn the key, blip the throttle, take her for a couple of laps around the track, or around the block, and you can easily imagine you're at Laguna Seca driving with a racing legend -- and the checkered flag is yours!

2008 Saleen H302SC

Auto Car | 2008 Saleen H302SC | Saleen pays homage to legendary mustangs with Heritage product line

• Two Heritage models boasting ‘Saleen built’ engines honor Mustang heritage
• H302 produces 390HP and is currently in production H302SC produces 580HP with production starting mid-December
• Heritage line vehicles represent a new interpretation of the Saleen Aesthetic

Irvine, CA (November 13, 2007) – Today at the retired El Toro Marine base Saleen Automotive took the wraps off of its 2008 MY product to show the world why Saleen is and will continue to be America’s premiere niche vehicle manufacturer. Among the new ’08 MY products is a model line that has been coded H and features two new vehicles, the H302 and the H302SC. The ‘H’ designator signifies Heritage say’s Marques McCammon, General Manager of Saleen Automotive. “These models honor some of the great heritage of the Mustang in a way that is uniquely Saleen.”
The H line draws its inspiration from the late sixties Boss 302 Mustang and is a real compliment to the Ford family Heritage,” says Saleen Vice Chairman and Chief Technical Officer, Chris Theodore.

Both vehicles feature an all new, Saleen built, 302 cubic inch engine that represents a marriage of race technology and production performance engineering. The evidence of this fact can be found in the hardware comprising the engine. Saleen started with 5 axis CNC ported cylinder heads, and then added a new forged crankshaft, forged connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, performance crankshafts, and high flow fuel injectors. The result is a 390 hp engine that provides the heart of the new H302. “The 302 engine is the best engine that we have ever done,” states Rob Simons, Saleen Powertrain Lead.

If the H302 has not harnessed enough horses for your taste, the engineering team at Saleen has added their patented twin-screw intercooled supercharger to serve as the core for the H302SC giving it a pavement pounding 580Hp and 525 lb-ft of torque. This engine when married to a smooth shifting, short throw, six speed manual transmission, gives the H302SC a performance profile comparable to any contemporary exotic but in a way that is truly American.

As with every Saleen, the new H line vehicles are more than just powertrains. Both vehicles feature custom Saleen Racecraft suspensions tuned specifically to the vehicles weight and horsepower profiles. The result is responsiveness and stability. “Many companies simply throw horsepower at a vehicle without adequate consideration to making the power usable. We look to find balance. That is the difference between Saleen as a manufacturer and the typical aftermarket tuner,” says Theodore.

Stopping power for the H302SC is delivered by standard 14” front vented slotted, rotors grabbed by 6 piston calipers. Control is augmented by the 4 wheel ABS and brake assisted traction control. Lateral stability is enhanced by a Generation 2 Watts Link system that is an option on the H302, and standard on the H302SC. Grip is provided by Pirelli wrapped 19” Forged aluminum Alloy wheels that are available in painted silver or chrome. On the H302SC customers can opt up for a 19” 7 spoke painted forged wheel. “The market has not driven a Saleen like our new Heritage line. They have great throttle response, they shift smoothly and they carve through the corners,” says Chassis and Dynamics Engineering Lead, Derk Hartland.

As with all Saleen vehicles the H line leaves nothing to be desired from a styling perspective. The H302 features eye popping aesthetics like the new front and rear fascias, rockers and heritage spoiler. The exterior package is rounded out by the matte black body graphics and the shaker hood which is featured on the H302. The supercharged model features a power bulge aluminum hood with functional cooling vents bringing function to form. On the inside, the unique seat trim features stone gray Alcantara accents and a laser etched shift knob.

The H302 began production in October and the H302SC is slated to begin production in early December. The naturally aspirated H302 production will be limited to 500 units and the supercharged car will be more exclusive at only 200 units. Both the H302 and the H302SC feature a manufacturer’s bumper to bumper warranty; 3 years and 36000 miles on the H302 and 12 months and 12,000 miles on the H302SC. “We tried to make sure that we kept the vehicles attainable while maintaining their exclusivity,” says McCammon. The base price of the H302 is set at $56,999 with the H302SC slightly higher at $74,999.

“Customers will be delighted with the Heritage line and all the new Saleen products. They will be delighted because we are committing ourselves to surpassing their expectations. It is a new day at Saleen Automotive. It’s something that we call the Reawakening and the principle is simple. Give more than you promise,” comments, Saleen Inc President and CEO, Paul Wilbur.

2007 Saleen S331 Sport Truck based on Ford F-150

Auto Car | 2007 Saleen S331 Sport Truck based on Ford F-150 | Saleen, the premier manufacturer of limited edition, high-performance vehicles, marks a new paradigm in sport truck performance with the Supercharged Saleen Sport Truck S331. The pre-production model debuted at the 2006 LA Auto Show.

Steve Saleen, president and CEO of Saleen, said, "We set out to produce the perfect high-performance truck. The Saleen Sport Truck integrates higher horsepower, superior suspension, and aggressive styling with the best in functionality. Our sport trucks are the perfect answers for individuals whose lifestyles take them from the beach to the mountains to the country club, all in a day. They are also the perfect sport trucks for individuals who are passionate about what they drive - they’re for individuals who require sports-car-like handling and performance, yet whose lives require the utility of a pick-up truck. These Saleen Sport Trucks are exceptionally versatile high performance vehicles."

Both Saleen Sport Truck models will start in the Super Cab style and will feature a 5.4L, 3-valve SOHC V-8 engine, and are scheduled to be available at certified Saleen dealers in July as 2007 models.

With this cool, dense air, the Saleen Powerflash performance calibration system radically increases the power and performance.

In recognizing the trend of consumers wanting more choices, the Saleen Sport Truck will be offered as a normally aspirated, 3-Valve Sport Truck, which offers 325 bhp @ 5000 RPM, and with 400 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM.

Every thought has gone into taking the Saleen Sport Trucks’ performance to the extreme.

Designed to raise handling to new levels, Saleen Sport Trucks are equipped with Saleen Racecraft suspension. The front systems include N2 struts with linear-rate coil-over springs, a tubular anti-roll stabilizing bar and urethane pivot bushings throughout. Because it’s all about performance, calibrations are specifically set to a high-performance level.

The rear Saleen Racecraft suspension consists of a live axle, leaf springs and N2 shocks. The overall Saleen suspension system reduces load transfer which improves handling under braking and hard cornering.

The truck’s overall styling is complete with front and rear Saleen seven spoke, 23-inch forged wheels, on high-performance BFG 305/40 series tires. For responsive braking the Saleen Sport Truck comes equipped with power assisted 4-wheel ABS brakes. The front brakes have 15.0-inch slotted and vented disks with Saleen ABS 6-piston calipers, while the rear brakes are 13.7 inches.

In total, the Saleen Racecraft suspension elevates performance without sacrificing the quality of the truck’s ride, its load, or towing capacity.

Great aerodynamics and exceptional styling are engineering feats that have been Saleen hallmarks for decades, and the aero and styling of the Saleen Sport Trucks are truly exceptional.

The Saleen Sport Trucks’ superior aerodynamics come from specially designed injection molded components made from Thermoplastic Olefins (TPO), built to withstand the demands of the truck. All Saleen front and rear fascias, side skirts are uniquely Saleen - built to be rugged and durable, yet stylish and performance enhancing.

The stylish Saleen front grille is also designed for improved aerodynamics. The Supercharged Saleen Sport Truck integrates a unique hood with exhaust venting grille. The Saleen Sport Truck also has side fender vents, rear spoiler, and attractive tailgate panel.

2008 Saleen S302 Extreme

Auto Car | 2008 Saleen S302 Extreme | Saleen Automotive, North America’s premiere specialty vehicle manufacturer, today unveiled the latest in a very aggressive 2008 MY product line up. The new “Extreme” unveiled today, technically known as the Saleen S302E, now represents the most powerful Ford derived vehicle that Saleen has ever manufactured and a critical step in earning Saleen’s new respect for its products and its brand. The “Extreme”, along with 6 other models in Saleen’s 2008 model line up, made their world debut today on the runways of the retired El Toro airport runway in Southern California.

The new S302E raises the bar for American performance cars while never sacrificing on style and control. New for 2008, the car affectionately known as the “Extreme” boasts a “Saleen built” 302 cubic inch engine augmented by a patented Saleen twin-screw, intercooled supercharger. The combination delivers an unprecedented 620 Hp and 600 lb-ft of neck snapping, tire incinerating torque. “We believe that we are in the process of creating a legendary new car. It’s thrilling” says Saleen President and CEO, Paul Wilbur. “It seemed to make sense that as we go into our 25th Anniversary as a manufacturer in North America that we make our best and most powerful car yet.”

In the automotive history books, all great cars incorporate great hardware and the S302E is no different. The new Extreme features a litany of high quality performance parts that are a direct reflection of the companies race engineering heritage, combined with the best thinking in automotive OEM performance engineering. For starts, the unique motor in the “Extreme” features a forged crank, forged connecting rods, individually blueprinted pistons, a 5 axis CNC aluminium cylinder head, high flow fuel injectors, and high performance forged camshafts. All of these components have been orchestrated to mesh masterfully together, coupled to our best-in-class, patented Saleen twin screw supercharger. When married to a short throw, 6 speed manual transmission and a Max-grip rear differential, the Extreme screams to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds and clicks through the quarter mile in just under 12 seconds.

“This place represents a kind of automotive “mecca” for me. We are making limited volume, performance vehicles for people who really love cars, by people who really love cars. I cannot think of a better place to put my 35 years of OEM engineering history to work,” says Vice Chairman and Chief Technical Officer Chris Theodore. Theodore is best known as being the father of the Ford GT while Vice President of Advance Product Development at Ford Motor Company. “Now I am helping build great Saleen cars in the same factory that I architected for the legendary Ford GT.’

“This is the best motor that we have ever done”, says Powertrain Engineering lead Rob Simons. “We have really benefited from having Chris (Theodore) around. He brings perspective and experience to the company unlike anything that we have known prior.”

To get that kind of performance, the team had to get S302E’s power to the ground. This is accomplished with standard 20 inch, 5 spoke forged aluminium alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero ‘Rosso’ tires. Since power is nothing without control, the Extreme also features a Saleen Racecraft suspension and an all new, second generation Watts Link system that is sure to help the driver maintain control through the corners. The chassis system is rounded out by upgraded 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS and traction control. This performance brake system features 15″ vented, slotted rotors with 6 piston callipers in the front and 11.8″ rear vented discs with single piston callipers in the rear.

“This was an interesting challenge for me. Everything I learned from the past on the S7 race team was put into play for this year’s production models. The result is one that I am sure that the market is going to love,” says Chassis and Dynamics Team Lead, Derk Hartland.
