Auto Car | 2010 Freelander 2 | There’s no April Fools jokes coming out of Land Rover on April 1st, only the new production model 2010 Freelander 2. This small SUV sports Land Rover’s innovative start/stop technology, and boasts a fuel range of 42.2 miles per gallon. Also on the Land Rover stand will be the revised 2010 model year Freelander 2, featuring the acclaimed intelligent stop/start system now standard on all diesel manual Freelander 2 TD4_e’s providing a combined cycle of 42.2mpg and 179g/km of CO2.

The 2010 Freelander 2 includes remote central locking, seven airbags, two ISOFIX points, power steering, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, air conditioning, auxiliary audio jack, Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as standard.

The Freelander 2 10MY line-up also offers modified trim-levels to the ‘GS’ and ‘XS’ specifications including a hands-free Personal Telephone Integration (PTI) Bluetooth® system, Alpine In-Car Entertainment (ICE) and heated front seats. In addition there are two new exterior colours: Bali Blue, replacing Martinique Blue and Ipanema Sand, replacing Nazca Sand (available from June 2009) and a new interior colour of Storm grey.
