Auto Car | 2010 Mansory Rolls Royce Ghost | At the 2010 Geneva Salon, Mansory introduced the individualization program for the all-new Rolls Royce Ghost. Mansory came up with a wild gold-on-blue paint job that sets the Ghost apart not only from its stock brethren but probably from anything on four wheels. This is expected to attract people’s attention and then commented on the good.
Mansory is called the ‘King Julian’ of car tuning. In exterior, the ‘discreet’ paint theme is complemented by chunky 22-inch alloys finished in the same golden varnish as the exterior detailing and a bodykit comprising of a modified front bumper with supplementary LED lights and side air vents, side skirts, boot lid spoiler and a new rear apron with an integrated diffuser and unique tail pipes.
In interior, Mansory also adorned the Ghost’s interior with diamond-quilted leather, light bamboo wood inlays render, decorative carbon trim and plenty of LEDs.
Mansory’s engineers fiddled around with the Ghost’s 6.6-liter V12 engine by adding larger bi-turbochargers, a new exhaust system and an upgraded ECU. These changes increase the V12’s output from 570HP and 780Nm to 720HP and 1,020Nm or 752 lb-ft of peak torque respectively. The tuned Ghost is now be able to sprint from zero to 100km/h (62) mph in just 4.4 seconds (down from 4.9 seconds) and reach a maximum velocity of 310km/h or 193 mph.
Kourosh Mansory is one of the best Automobile Swiss tuner who have done great a customization project for the Rolls Royce Ghost. Debuting at the Geneva Motor Show, the ritzy Rolls is designed to combine “the most precious materials with elaborate performance, individual appearance and stylish interior refinements.”
The Ghost’s engine refined by MANSORY now renders phenomenal 720 hp (530 kW) at 5,850 r.p.m instead of serial 570 hp (420 kW). The MANSORY engineers catapult the maximum torque from 780 to 1,020 Newton metres. As a result, the Ghost’s engine can accelerate the 2,360 kg of the car from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds. It is half a second faster than the serial version.
The car is first painted deep blue and then gold varnish is applied to the cross-beam in the new front skirt, the vertical gill between the headlights, various bits of trim and the modified radiator grill, capped by gold wheels. New stainless steel sheeting, a rear spoiler and rear skirt and a double sport exhaust system sum up the rest. Large parts of the Ghost’s interior are covered by leather with diamond-quilted ornaments and are completed by an ultra-suede lining from the roof line to the dashboard. There’s diamond quilted leather and an odd mix of carbon fiber and bamboo wood accents illuminated by a galaxy of LEDs.
