The Javan R1 is a British sports car which picked up where another left off. The Strathcarron SC5-A was also a British built sports car. But in 2001, due to a change in vehicle approval laws the company went under. Five years on and after 1:8 scale model car constructor Javan Smith bought the tooling and molds for the SC5-A he reintroduced the car as the Javan R1.

Currently Javan plan to produce only 12 cars a year, with a waiting time of around two months.
