Auto Car | 2010 Dodge Challenger Performance Appearance | Based off a Challenger R/T, the Mopar ‘10 edition slots between a standard R/T and the SRT8, and gives the chunky muscle coupe a sinister look. Buyers will only be able to order the car in a metallic black hue, although they can choose a side stripe fabricated from one of three colors, including B5 Blue, red, or silver. Mopar ‘10 cars also receive a black chrome grille surround, gloss black 20-inch wheels, a body-color T/A-style hood scoop, and a barrage of Mopar emblems across the exterior.Inside, the Challenger Mopar ‘10 wears Katzkin leather seat covers, which sport embroidered logos in the headrests, along with seam stitching that matches the exterior stripe color.

Cars equipped with a manual transmission will receive a carbon fiber pistol-grip shift handle, while those with the automatic will utilize a Hurst T-handle shifter. Buyers will also receive a kit that includes a certificate of authenticity, an autographed design sketch of the car, a book that chronicles the build process, and other trinkets.Although this package is a little more show than go, Mopar raided its parts bin to help enhance the Challenger’s pull. Thanks to a cold air intake and a ventilated hood, Chrysler says the Mopar ‘10 adds another 15 horsepower, bringing the 5.7-liter Hemi’s output to 387 horsepower on automatic cars, and 391 horsepower for those equipped with three pedals.

Apart from a set of powder-coated front and rear strut tower braces, Mopar left the suspension untouched, but all Mopar ’10s do have the Super Track Pack — which adds performance brake linings, self-leveling dampers, a larger rear stabilizer bar, and a 3.06:1 rear axle ratio — included as standard equipment.Full press release can be found below. Our take? Pricing for a Challenger Mopar ‘10 with the six-speed automatic starts at $38,000, including destination fees. Desire a manual? Prepare to pony up an extra $1000. You can place an order for the car at any Dodge dealer in the U.S. and Canada, but you’d better act fast — Chrysler says it will build only 500 examples of the gussied-up muscle coupe.
