Auto Car | Mercedes-Benz Vision S 500 Plug-In Hybrid | The 2009 Mercedes-Benz Vision S 500 Plug-In Hybrid is another breakthrough model brought into the car industry by the world leading authority in cars and automobiles namely the Mercedes brand. With its all mighty V6 engine that has a 3.5 liter capacity together with a top speed of 155 miles per hour and an acceleration feature of 0 to 62 miles per hour or 100 kilometers per hour in 5.5 seconds, this vehicle is truly an amazing car that is widely available for the enjoyment and utilization of every car fanatic and patron situated all across the globe.

This 2009 Mercedes-Benz Vision S 500 Plug-In Hybrid also features the patented Mercedes quality of excellence and durability that cannot be found in any other car model available in the market. It also contains all of the standard safety and security features plus the added safety measures sturdily developed by the car developers and manufacturers under the Mercedes brand name. It also contains the luxury and elegance that cannot be found in any other car unit.

Who said driving a hybrid had to mean ugly Japanese hatchbacks built with the same quality as a lunch box? Certainly not Mercedes-Benz. The German automaker already offers a hybrid version of its top-of-the-line S-Class luxury sedan. But it’s not about to stop there. Building upon the existing S400 Hybrid, Mercedes unveiled the S500 Vision Plug-In Hybrid concept at its home-ground Frankfurt Auto Show.

Naturally, fuel economy and emissions are of paramount concern with a machine such as this, and the S 500 PHEV won’t disappoint. We’re not sure what standard was used to come up with the 73.5 (3.2L per 100 km) mpg figure, but it appears to compare rather favorably with other competing luxury hybrids.
