Auto Car | Brabus T65 RS Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG | If there is any company out there that can make the insanely fast Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series faster than it already is, it’s Brabus. A long-time BRABUS customer decided it was time to bring his SL 65 AMG Black Series into the tuning firm to make the car even more aggressive and while this version, known as the VANISH, is a one-off, all components used are available to other customers (so it’s really not a one-off if you think about it).
The increased performance for the SL 65 AMG Black Series comes from the company’s T65 RS package. Brabus added a ECU modification, two special exhaust manifolds with integrated turbine housings, two turbochargers, four intercoolers under the carbon fiber scoop and a special Brabus stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system.
All the modifications result in an output increase to 788-hp with a maximum torque of 1,047 lb-ft (peak torque is limited to 811 lb-ft). That allows the BRABUS T65 RS to go from 0-62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and to 124 mph in 9.8 seconds. While a top speed of 205 mph is possible, the T65 RS is electronically governed at 198.8 mph.
