2010 Nissan 370Z

Cars Mania Blog
Auto Car | 2010 Nissan 370Z | Many of the noteworthy improvements found on the 2010 Nissan 370Z are suspension enhancements designed to keep this quick car firmly planted on the track. The new models features a new front strut tower brace, performance dampers, more efficient front springs and more rigid rear coils. These suspension upgrades result in a 40% increase in damping factor on the front of the car and an impressive 140% increase in the rear.

At firt glance the engine is identical to the normal 370Z, but once you factor in a brand new Nismo exhaust system and a high-performance engine control module, you’ll understand where the incredible power boost comes from. 350hp at 7400 rmp means this car is one quick little sucker. The 2010 370z is only available in six-speed manual transmission alongside the infamous rev matching system.

No word on the original equipment tires yet, though the 2009 model did feature staggered fitting Yokohama ADVAN Sport high-performance tires P245/40ZR19 in the front and P285/35ZR19s in the rear. These Y-rated wholesale Yokohama tires were built for speed and a great match for the vehicle last year, so it will be interesting to see what improvements, if any, have been made for the new model.

Power comes from the same 332-hp 3.7L VQ37VHR engine from the 370Z Coupe. The engine is mated to the same 6-speed manual gearbox with 7-speed automatic with paddle-shifters offered as an option. Fuel-economy for the 2010 370Z Roadster comes in at 18/25 mpg (city/highway).

The drop-top 2010 370Z goes on sale later this summer with two well-equipped models including the 370Z Roadster and the 370Z Touring Roadster. Pricing will be announced closer to launch date.

Synchro RevMatch is not exclusive to the NISMO 370Z, we just dedicated a paragraph to it simply because we like it so much. What does come exclusive the NISMO 370Z, however, are 5-spoke 19″ RAYS aluminum-alloy wheels (19″×9.5″ front, 19″×10.5″ rear) mounted with Yokohama ADVAN Sport Y-rated high-performance tires (P245/40ZR19 front, P285/35ZR19 rear) and a set of NISMO Sport Brakes 14.0″ front and 13.8″ rear vented rotors with 4-piston front and 2- piston rear aluminum calipers. Also standard on the NISMO 370Z is a double-wishbone, four-link suspension that Nissan tuned the hell out of for Nürburgring-worthy handling, increasing the spring rates by 15% front, 10% rear; stabilizer bar stiffness by 15% front, 50% rear; and rear damping factors by 40% front, 140% rear.
