1948 Packard Woodie Station Sedan

Cars Mania Blog
Auto Car | 1948 Packard Woodie Station Sedan | Here's a nice 1948 Packard Woody,  technically the "Station Sedan".   This is a very original car that is just fresh from long indoor storage and a careful wake-up.  It has that look of excellent preservation that I find beautiful.  Additionally, the 288 Packard straight eight engine runs great!  It has 3 speed manual transmission, with overdrive.  We;ve recently done the brakes, water pump, belts and hoses, and it drives nicely, runs cool, and holds excellent oil pressure.

1948 Packard Woodie Wagon for sale in Washington State. This Rare 1948 Packard Woodie has had a complete rebuild and is one amazing road car. This four door station wagon weighed in at 4080 pounds, priced at $3,425.00 with a production of 1786 units.

New for 1948 was the Custom and Super convertible and the novel four door station sedan in the standard Eight series. The 1948 Packard Woodie Wagon featured above and in the magazine ad below had a wagon like body made almost entirely of steel, through it had wood in the tailgate and decorative trim on the doors. This Wagon was unusual for a Packard in 1948 but a beautiful site restored today.
