Auto Car | TechArt GT Street R Porsche 911 Turbo | Individualisation specialist Techart will bring their GTStreet R 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo at this year's Geneva Motor Show that starts next week.
The TECHART GTStreet R 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo received a considerable power boost, from 500 to 660 horsepower with a maximum torque of 860 Nm. This increase helps the high-performance sports car accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in 3.5 seconds while top speed was clocked at 345 Km/h.
As far as exterior enhancements the TECHART GTStreet R 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo aero kit features a carbon front bumper with large air intakes and LED day driving lights, an adjustable rear spoiler, a new rear apron that integrates the carbon diffuser plus a set of 19 or 20 inch 5-spoke design Formula alloy wheels.

The TECHART GTStreet R 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo also comes equipped with the tuner's VarioPlus chassis that enables the driver to adjust chassis height by 25 mm while the nose-lift system can raise the front axle by 60 mm.
Maximum grip and everyday suitability
TheTECHART Formula 5-spoke light alloy wheels in dimensions of 19" and 20"transfer the enormous level of available power securely to the tarmac. For optimum road holding, TECHART recommends fitting either Conti SportContact 3 or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Plus tires. The TECHART VarioPlusthreaded chassis design means that it is possible to adjust the chassisheight by up to 25 millimetres, to suit the route conditions. TheTECHART nose-lift system
allows the driver to raise the vehicle by upto 60 millimetres at the front axle, at the touch of a button, to avoidunpleasant contact with kerb edges or steeply inclined upward roadsurfaces.

Techart press release :
The TECHART GTStreet program has been recognisedfor years as a success formula with its sights firmly set on dynamicsand incorporating racing engineering to create vehicles that stand forpure driving pleasure as well as full on-track capability. The latestexample is the GTStreet R based on the 911 Turbo; it is now undergoingits world premiere. Its road performance statistic, 660hp and 860Nm, ishighly impressive - developed by the TECHART engineers who are drivenby the ambition of not submitting compromises. And just asuncompromising is the vehicle's suitability for everyday use, thanks toits day-driving light and integrated TECHART nose-lift system.

High-End Performance
The impressiveperformance is primarily down to the TECHART TA 097/T3.1 performancekit, which raises the power of the standard model from 500 to 660 hp.At 4,500rpm, this means that a maximum torque of 860Nm can betransmitted to the permanent four-wheel drive system. TECHART's sportclutch and modifications to the transmission ratio of the standard6-speed gearbox results in the GTStreet R's sprint performance of 0 to100km/h in 3.5 seconds. The permanent dynamic propulsion only reachesits limit at 345km/h.

The essential power driver of the vehicle design isthe TECHART GTStreet R aerodynamic kit. The significantly lowered frontapron with carbon splitter provides downthrust on the front axle andimproved airflow to the brakes and intercooler. The adjustable rearspoiler with air inlets and rear apron with integrated carbon diffusercontribute to the high level of downthrust on the rear axle whileensuring an optimum drag coefficient. Handling in extreme conditions issignificantly smoother as a result. The TECHART multifunctionalday-driving light system, integrated in the front apron, has E approvaland fulfils ECE R87 regulations. It is much more than just asophisticated design feature – it also makes an all-round constantcontribution to safety, both day and night. The LED system unitintegrates the day-driving light, sidelights, parking lights andindicators in a single housing, and merges harmonically with thegeneral design of the vehicle's front end. The output intensity of thelight is automatically modified in line with the selected driving lightcircuit.
