Auto Car | Ferrari Testarossa - Yellow - Side | This is a one of a kind Testarossa that has been heavily modified over the years into the speed demon you see before you right now. I bought this awesome car at 5,000 miles and I am the second owner it's had. The car is just over 30,000 miles right now but the engine only has 500 miles on it since I just put a brand-new one in it and had it Supertuned recently. Several years ago, I had a Large Single Turbo from Turbonetics installed, with all the accompanying hardware: intercooler w/water rails, extra water pump, conversion from Naturally Aspirated (carburator) to Electronic Fuel Injection with a Motec system. You can have your passenger plug a laptop into the computer (behind the passenger seat, inside) and remap the fuel ranges while you're driving!
The Ferrari experts out there may notice quite a few differences on this 1991 TR. I had all the black areas on the body painted Fly-Yellow to match the rest of the car and make it look much more like a 1992+ 512TR. I also got all-new 3-piece 17-inch rims and low-profile tires to go along with it, just like the 512TR. The only imperfection on this car is the front bottom spoiler has some chips in it - this is very normal on a Ferrari and usually you go until you really wear it out and it's about $500 to have it completely re-filled and re-painted at a body shop. The rest of the body is just beautiful.
Now to the engine. The sound that comes out of this car is completely amazing and destructive. Going down the street, you will sound like an Indy car when you hit the gas. And when you hit the gas, you will swear you're in a top fuel dragster as the car geometrically accelerates to a top speed of 200 mph. All you can do is laugh, it's so awesome.
There's no muffler and no catalytic converters, just pure sound blasting out of the turbo, which acts as a kind of muffler. The engine has titanium pistons and , as well as a new clutch by Centerforce. And all the gears in the transmission are in excellent shape. This car has been completely checked out and updated to be in the best condition possible.
If you need any information on the car's history, you have access to the mechanics that have done all the work on the car since I bought it in 1994: Norwood Auto Racing here in Dallas, TX. The turbo is set at 14 pounds of boost, but you can take it up from there to about 18-19 pounds for a whopping 750 bhp!
Inside the car, add-ons include a cell phone, a Kenwood CD player, woofer-speaker box, and front and rear radar detectors. The stereo sounds amazing, especially while blazing down the highway. The stereo is in a hideaway spot in the center of the car so when someone looks in, it's not there. Comes with a remote control for the Kenwood.
The floor mats are slightly worn as are the edges of the seats, but there are no tears or cuts anywhere inside. Most all surfaces are leather, including the ceiling. The radar controls are mounted behind the ceiling light. If you want brand new floor mats, they are inexpensive and available at any Ferrari dealership.
This car has had approximately $100,000 put into it since it was bought in 1990. This is the most awesome Ferrari Testarossa you'll ever see.
