Inside, the Daytona R/T features front sports seats with suede inserts, boasting “Daytona” logos embroidered on the headrests. The rear seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel carry body-coloured stitching, and the electronic cluster features a “Daytona Limited Edition” display. The unique cabin is finished with a numbered Daytona badge, making each vehicle individual and personal.Technical innovations include exceptional ride and handling features as standard, such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and All-speed Traction Control. Dual-zone temperature controls, electronically adjustable pedals and heated power front seats are also available.HEMI powerplant For the 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, Chrysler engineers have upgraded the performance of the legendary HEMI powerplant. The new model features a 5-speed automatic gearbox, and a massive 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine, producing around 350 bhp, and with peak torque of 390 lb/ft. This represents an extra 10 horsepower over the previous 5.7-litre HEMI.
Chrysler engineers have also developed a unique intake and exhaust system to unleash more of the HEMI engine’s performance credentials, featuring less intake restriction and upgrading the old three-pass muffler to a straight-through muffler. The result is a deeper, throatier, high-performance engine tone to match the extra power. In addition, the HEMI’s Multi-displacement System (MDS) allows for up to 20% better fuel economy. Finally, the 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T features an exceptional suspension package, including special tuning, 18-inch P235/55 R18 all-weather tyres and Nivomat self-levelling shock absorbers to the rear.
